Polycom 650 Softkey "Reject" Disable 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 1
I am using SIP Version 3.3.2.0413. I have been scouring the Internet for hours trying to figure out how to disable the "reject" soft key that is built into the 650. From what I understand and correct me if I am wrong these soft keys are actually macro's that run. If this is the case, where do I find the configuration for these macros?
I have read over the administration documentation and only found 1 thread that hinted toward these soft keys being macros but was very poor in documenting where to go to find them.

The reason that I need to disable them is we have call center employees who like to hit the reject button instead of answering the calls like they are required to.

I appreciate the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

psnyder1985,

One of the main things with the Polycom, is that it is always assumed that you will be using provisioning files to provision the Polycom.

As such, many of the advanced features of the Polycom can not be set via the Web interface of the phone, they have to be done via the provisioning files..in XML format. It appears that you can disable them this way as well...

The following may be of help to you....while not a step by step, it should provide some direction.

I am on the same boat trying to edit the softkeys on my phone.

I found this on Polycom's forum.

Thank you both for the posts to this thread. These were both very helpful. I guess my problem at this point is I have yet to find the complete default feature keyset configuration that Polycom has. I could guestimate and assume based off of this information (softkey.feature.newcall="0") that my feature that I want to disable would be (softkey.feature.reject="0") I will be attempting to make this work and will post back any further findings!

Ok, so I have found every default softkey EXCEPT the one I am looking for which is reject. This is just my luck. I dove into the features of the sip software version that I am running which is capable of the advanced feature set and this is the only configuration that I have found that is default. I am going to continue to research and maybe phone Polycom.
